This "hood joint" produces its expected product... the BEST FRIED fish/chicken! We drove back into the hood to satisfy the desire for well fried fish and chicken. They did not disappoint. Seasoned right. Fried right. Served right HOT in the spot. I had the Trout and Oysters meal and my husband had the Trout and Founder meal with a side of 1/2 chicken fried... right!

My fried whiting is impeccable... That famous JJ seasoning is like crack.. 🤣 French fries on point. No lines at all. Food is hot and fresh straight out the kitchen. People behind the counter were excellent. Location is in the hood but at the same time some of the best damn food is found in the hood. Most definitely coming back to this location.

I went to this place before the new year came in and I really enjoyed it! Prices are not bad for the amount of food you get! At this time I went they were kinda busy, but they took care of everyone who came in. They took awhile with my food, but I didn’t mind the wait because what I had turned out great! I love the fact that it’s originally from the CHI, and anything up north inspired etc.. I love to support since I’m from Philly. It reminds me of a spot in Philly that everyone use to go to. Other than that, this place is awesome and I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. God bless y’all🙏🏾❤️✝️

Just tried the new JJ Fish & Chicken and the food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The chicken was well done ,the fish was seasoned well, and the customer service was great. The place was clean and the atmosphere felt welcoming. Definitely a good spot if you want tasty food at a fair price. I’ll be coming back again.

My friend had brought some tilapia over from JJ one night and I’ve been hooked ever since😍 Tonight I had a craving for some fried fish and decided to try their whiting! I can't really complain (I do prefer the tilapia though). Thank ya'll for your fried mushrooms 😍😍😍😍😍 those were on point! That 2 oz mild sauce though 👎🏾 that was my own greedy fault. The hot sauce that comes with the fried fish is so good with my lil fish sandwiches. I fooled myself into believing that I was going to get 2 oz of that same sauce (knowing it said mild) 🤦🏾‍♀️ Ordered the fried chicken and fries for my daughter. The fries were yummy and the chicken looked delicious. Will definitely be coming back when I want some fried fish!

First time visiting this establishment. The food was good. Chicken wasn't cooked hard. This fish was falling apart cause it was soft and moist. The shrimp went so quick I should have order more and the fries were good. All of it was sprinkled with that signature seasoning dust which I haven't figured out what's all in it. Now the dessert were decent. Frosting on the cakes wasn't to sweet. Sorta like if you take frosting and mix it with cool whip. The strawberry cake was my favorite of the cakes I got. The red velvet was a disappointment though. It was kinda heavy for my liking. The banana pudding was my second favorite dessert.

I recently visited JJ Fish & Chicken, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Their fried fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfectly seasoned without being too greasy. The chicken wings were cooked just right crispy, juicy, and coated with their signature lemon pepper seasoning.Also ask for Alex the store front manager he will take care of all your catering needs. Large orders are welcome for any event you maybe hosting.

Ooh baby now let me tell you.. this is one of my places for comfort food! Please order the number one, at least once not really a fan of coleslaw, so I always substitute for corn nuggets which is only an additional $1.49.. unique seasoning.. I order it LITE, The Breading is Crispy Crunch and slightly Sweet.. this plate is under $20, portions are always heavy! And a canned soda is included I'm not into soda? They have flavorful lemonade that will rock your socks✨🤌🏽Chef kiss.. ain't you tired of fast food? Why not order real food..

We manage to come early because this place gets busy. The fried fish is excellent. I get the fried catfish and my husband loves the red snapper. The meal comes with a tiny coleslaw and I add fried okra to my meal. This time I ordered a mini sweet potato pie and it was surprisingly good. We go a couple times a month. So good and good customer service too. They don't have a lot of tables so keep that in mind when you go.
