Fresh and Simple, The Best Fish & Chicken in Town!

My friend had brought some tilapia over from JJ one night and I’ve been hooked ever since😍 Tonight I had a craving for some fried fish and decided to try their whiting! I can't really complain (I do prefer the tilapia though). Thank ya'll for your fried mushrooms 😍😍😍😍😍 those were on point! That 2 oz mild sauce though 👎🏾 that was my own greedy fault. The hot sauce that comes with the fried fish is so good with my lil fish sandwiches. I fooled myself into believing that I was going to get 2 oz of that same sauce (knowing it said mild) 🤦🏾‍♀️ Ordered the fried chicken and fries for my daughter. The fries were yummy and the chicken looked delicious. Will definitely be coming back when I want some fried fish!

The food is hot and always fresh. Only downside be prepared to wait just a little while for your food. But other than that everything was great! Staff is friendly and helpful.

I visited on 4-16-2026. It's been a minute since I've been here. I got the fish combo or the pick two combo. I got the 3 piece perch fish and 3 piece whiting fish with fries and 2 slices of bread and a can soda for $14.03 plenty of ketchup, tartar sauce and hot sauce. The customer service is great. They have a system to get you in and out with your order. Food is delicious. Pull up and check them out definitely worth the trip not a disappointment.

Lawd let me tell you this food is soooo GOOD! 😩🤤 Whenever I go, I get the fried Catfish plate. It comes with fries and coleslaw. They put a special seasoning on top of the fish. It looks like a white powder and oh my goodness it’s so good! I have no idea what they use but I’m hooked! If I could have this everyday I would lol ..I love the portion of everything they give except the coleslaw. It’s a super small cup and you have to pay for a side of coleslaw if you want more. If they offered a larger amount of coleslaw it would be perfection! I highly recommend trying their food. Especially the catfish. I’ve never ate inside. I’ve been to a few different ones. Some restaurants are on a strip in a gas station area. Those look a lil shady lol but they are good. Everything was A1.

Just tried the new JJ Fish & Chicken and the food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The chicken was well done ,the fish was seasoned well, and the customer service was great. The place was clean and the atmosphere felt welcoming. Definitely a good spot if you want tasty food at a fair price. I’ll be coming back again.

Had never had zucchini fries or heard of this place. There's not a spot where I live. Good thing because I might be there weekly for those fries. I was salivating eating them they were so good. Got the fish and shrimp, and that was good too. Cheap spot with good portions. Will definitely be a go to spot when I come back to this area.

Absolutely delicious and a taste of Chicago. The breading spice mix cannot be beat. I had the perch and shrimp (yummy). My Dad had catfish and shrimp. The catfish was the star. I also liked the mild sauce. The environment around the store was...interesting...;)

This JJ Fish & Chicken Resturant dining area is always clean and neat. The Cashiers always welcome me in. The food is very deliciously good! The deserts are very good as well! I really like the service that's offered. There is never loud noise from the cooking area. You can dine-in and enjoy a quiet meal. Parking is available.

I went to this place before the new year came in and I really enjoyed it! Prices are not bad for the amount of food you get! At this time I went they were kinda busy, but they took care of everyone who came in. They took awhile with my food, but I didn’t mind the wait because what I had turned out great! I love the fact that it’s originally from the CHI, and anything up north inspired etc.. I love to support since I’m from Philly. It reminds me of a spot in Philly that everyone use to go to. Other than that, this place is awesome and I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. God bless y’all🙏🏾❤️✝️
