AMAZING chicken strips, Great fish options awesome selection of everything fried, the cakes are tempting although a bit overpriced! That special white spice they shake on everything is very tasty! They have slushies for summer and generally fast and correct order completion! The only bad thing I can pinpoint is their coleslaw is the size of 2 tablespoons, it's so much more valuable to get double fries for same price.. coleslaw is good but the plate needs x5 more in the portion!
This establishment offers an exceptional fish and chicken experience, complemented by their delightful banana pudding. I also had the pleasure of trying the Chicago Pizza Puff, and I would recommend adding onion rings to your order. The chicken wings and catfish meals, served with Chicago's mild sauce, are all priced under $20. This truly is a wonderful culinary asset to the Atlanta area. Additionally, you can anticipate a beverage included with your chicken wings and fried fish meal for $12.99. The pizza puff with onion rings is available for $8.99, representing excellent value for your money.
First time eating JJs. I've heard so many good things about the restaurant so I had to pay them a visit. The restaurant was nice and clean. The food came out piping hot. It has a decent flavor. The hush puppies were my favorite. I wish my fish and chicken were fried a little harder but the overall taste was pretty good. I would definitely return.
$14.03 got me two pieces of flounder three small whole wings a tiny cup of coleslaw and an order of fries and a can drink, it was all delicious and I barely could eat it all. That's the second time I have eaten from there and it is off the chain good to me
I am not a big fan of fish. With that said, this place was amazing. I really enjoyed the food I had. Their sauce made everything pop and stand out. I forget which fish I actually had. I believe it was the poke. I could be wrong but in any case the fact that it came with tenders and fries such a clutch bonus. No matter what this meal was going to be great. Their special drinks were great as well. You can mix them up which is good. I had blue Hawaiian with green apple. I highly recommend.
Just tried the new JJ Fish & Chicken and the food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The chicken was well done ,the fish was seasoned well, and the customer service was great. The place was clean and the atmosphere felt welcoming. Definitely a good spot if you want tasty food at a fair price. I’ll be coming back again.
I went to this place before the new year came in and I really enjoyed it! Prices are not bad for the amount of food you get! At this time I went they were kinda busy, but they took care of everyone who came in. They took awhile with my food, but I didn’t mind the wait because what I had turned out great! I love the fact that it’s originally from the CHI, and anything up north inspired etc.. I love to support since I’m from Philly. It reminds me of a spot in Philly that everyone use to go to. Other than that, this place is awesome and I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. God bless y’all🙏🏾❤️✝️
Great customer service! Food always to my liking! Friendly cashiers, cooks and etc! Overall this rank at the number 1 out of all the JJ Fish & Chicken in the state of Georgia!
I will give it a 5 BUT I do not care for the seasoning. I had the wings, whitening, hush puppies, and fries. The hush puppies were definitely burnt and the whitening definitely had no flavor. The chicken was good and crispy, but again, I don’t like the seasoning on the chicken but my family loved it. I could eat it again but I would probably forgo the seasoning. The resultant was clean, they were orderly with processed and the staff was nice and helpful. The pans of food were more than enough to feed 7 people.
From the beginning, I heard mixed opinions about this spot — some people swore it was great, others said it wasn’t worth it, so I decided to see for myself. When I first arrived, the atmosphere stood out immediately. It definitely has more of a “hood spot” vibe than a fine dining one, so if you’re looking for a high-quality date night restaurant, this isn’t it. But that doesn’t mean the food isn’t worth it — if you just want to chill, relax, or grab something flavorful outside of your normal routine, this is the kind of place to try. The restaurant itself is small and was packed when I came in, so I chose to order my food to-go. Since it was my first visit, one of the associates was very helpful and walked me through the menu to find something that suited me. I ended up ordering the wing and tender combo, the tilapia and wing combo, lemonade, and two desserts — the banana pudding and the key lime red velvet cake. Now, I’ll say this upfront: skip the desserts. They were not good, and I later learned they aren’t made in-house — they’re outsourced from another company. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’ll want to grab dessert elsewhere. The food itself, though, was impressive. The wings and fish were crispy, flavorful, and satisfying without being overly greasy. It gave me that comforting “home-cooked” feel without the effort of actually cooking. The lemonade was also really good — even though it didn’t taste freshly squeezed, it had a nice flavor and you can even choose different add-in flavors depending on what you’re in the mood for. Overall, the food definitely hit the spot for me. I wouldn’t recommend dining in just because of how small and crowded the space can get, but for takeout or a laid-back meal, this is a must-try.
